During the Sunday Masses in the Easter Season, we welcome the young children of our parish to the Lord’s Table for the first time.  We share in their joy as they receive the Bread of Life, and we pray that they may be nourished often with this spiritual food as they grow in faith.

Let us pray for the children:

         Lord Jesus Christ,

         bless the children who are receiving Holy Communion

         for the first time in our parish.

         May the celebration of their First Communion

         be a step toward a life-long love for the Eucharist.

         Strengthen them always with your love

         and the gift of your Body and Blood.

         Give them always a deep hunger for this sacred food

        so that they will live for ever. Amen.
