The Four Constitutions
Every twenty-five years, the Church celebrates a Jubilee Year. Pope Francis has declared 2025 a jubilee year and chosen the theme of the year: Pilgrims of Hope. The Holy Year will begin with the opening of the Holy Year Door at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome on December 25, 2025, and conclude on January 6, 2026. In preparation for this special year of grace, he has asked us to revisit the four constitutions which were promulgated following the Second Vatican Council, documents which he believes are the sure compass for the Church at this moment in history.
During the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965), over two thousand Bishops from around the world gathered in Rome over four periods and issued 16 important documents to guide the Church into the 21st Century. The four principal documents were called Constitutions. Join us for a five-part series on the Constitutions:

Participants will receive a booklet with important excerpts from each of the Constitutions, along with discussion questions which will be used during the video presentations for each session. The sessions are free. All are welcome!
